It's official!!

Hey y'all!!

This post is long overdue. I'm sorry.

Dave and I have applied for teaching positions overseas. I've wanted to do this since I was 16, and Dave has a heart for travel. We feel this is the perfect time for a break, to travel, to explore, to do something completely different. We have started the application process, have heard back from a couple organizations, and are completing paperwork and interviews. We've been preparing for this for over a year now, both emotionally, spiritually and physically. We've gotten rid of many of our possessions, have been praying constantly, building lesson plans, and slowly saying goodbye to familiar faces and places. We are SO excited.

We are not sure where exactly we will be yet, as we've applied to various countries, cities and organizations, but know the Lord will send us wherever we are meant to be.

We are both a little nervous (with due cause, I figure), and there are many many things to still figure out, but we are hugely excited for the opportunity.

But we need you to pray. Pray that everything goes through properly. Pray that our visas come in. Pray for peace about wherever we end up going. Pray for safety.

I'll post updates as we know them, but for now we're still in the application-forms-interview stage.

This is HUGE for us, and we can't wait to share our adventures with you!!
