On anniversaries.

Oh, how I love this guy.

We've been through ups and downs and no fewer than seven moves in six different cities/ towns.

I've been able to see and do some crazy-amazing things because he's been at my side.

He loves me unconditionally, takes care of me and kisses me every day, even when I'm angry.

He works every day, all day and still comes home and puts away the dishes.

He is my best friend, my confident, my rock. He walks beside me in our walk with Christ and gives me the extra push I need to do big, scary things.

I love you, Dave.

Mad props to my husband who puts up with me and my 10 o'clock photoshoots. Especially when I make him put on all his winter gear....

And yes, we are *slightly* concerned about how we'll handle the winter temperatures when we have to put on a light sweater or cardi when it drops to 21 degrees here....

On Date Days

A couple weeks ago Dave and I had a full afternoon of health checks (we need them every year for our ARCs) and scooter checks, so before we went home we stopped off at the park for a quick ice cream and walk. It's either been too hot or someone's been too busy or too tired lately, so we haven't had a proper date in sooo long!!

You'll probably recognize Tainan Park- it's one of the first things we did in Tainan, and have taken a few friends here as well!

We got ice cream because we were both brave when we got our blood taken.

On our way back from the hospital we had to hunt for our scooter. Kinda like forgetting where you parked in the mall parking lot...

On nephews, too far away.

I'm sure you guys recognize these faces by now. Candice and Tyler are two of our besties from Canada, and they came all the way here to Taiwan to visit us for a whole week!! And with them (in Candice's belly) they brought our newest little nephew, Peter. I've been holding off until after he was born to post these photos, but now he's almost two weeks old!!

While Candice and Tyler were here I did a quick little mini-maternity shoot with them since I wouldn't be around to take any closer to their due date, nor newborn shots after Peter was born.

(Sometimes being away is so HARD!)

But seriously, without any further ado...

And just because I couldn't resist (and maybe want to brag a little?) here's a couple of the little man and his uber-attractive parents. (Hey, the best camera is always the one you have on you!!)

On Haweater Weekend, a world away

A year ago these amazing people (I'm sure you're pretty familiar with their faces by now!) came to visit us in my favourite home. Sometimes the twelve hour difference is bigger than we think. While we miss our friends and our families back home, we also miss some of favourite places that are just as familiar to us as our loved ones' faces. To us, they're almost like another friend.

 Even though I had to work, we managed to squeeze in as much time as possible together- hiking, eating (EVERY meal was a smorgasbord- we just threw everything we had on the table and ate what we wanted. Honestly, probably the funnest meals I've ever eaten!!), touring some of our favourite spots on the Island and taking in the annual Haweater fireworks. Plus, we got to sneak in a sweet couples's shoot! There are few things more fun that watching your best friends goof off with each other and being able to photograph that much love for them (and, in some cases, encourage or suggest some of the shenanigans!)

Now, one year later they're just over a month away from meeting their new baby!!

(Rather than separating our couple's shoot (because we shot at a few different locations) from our 'fun' photos I've left them together because it tells a better story!!)
